Yesterday, Think Beyond launched our website refresh. It was 3 years ago since we last released a website refresh, which at the time was a major update to our approach. Now, with another 3 years' experience listening to customers and developing our proposition, it was time to update. Read on to find out the benefits of the change.

A better user experience

Customer experience is a key element of our approach and one of the range of service applications that we cover. We were also becoming acutely aware that not all of our capabilities and services were described on our website. So, we set out to launch our new website for customers so that:

  • Navigation is simpler
  • Services are clearer
  • Mobile is prioritised

Historically, we believed that there were too many pages with too much information for busy senior leaders to digest. As a result, we have reduced the number of sub-categories and pages. Furthermore, the menu subsystem has been overhauled to make it easier to find what you are looking for. Consistency of look and feel also received some focus. Finally, we wanted to ensure that mobile users were well-catered for, where the previous site was designed as desktop first.

A clearer range of services

Over the last 3 years, we gradually refined and added to our range of services to the point that the website lagged behind what we were presenting to customers. We have carefully curated a range of 6 services under each of our 4 service pillars. These pillars remain the same as before and are research, plan, change and enable. The meaning of these pillars also remains the same as follows:

  • Research - Finding answers, ideas, opportunities and insights into industries, customers and competitors.
  • Plan - Setting out strategic goals and the path to deliver accelerated performance or assurance over current performance.
  • Change - Transforming business capabilities to capitalise on the identified opportunities and goals in your plan(s).
  • Enable - Measuring and reporting of performance to keep you on track and underpinning ongoing success.

Additionally, we have added a few services and refined others within the 4 pillars. For example, we have developed a brand-new end-to-end lead acceleration programme. There is also the addition of growth strategy, productivity improvement, target operating models and competitor research. All of these services were already available but not captured on our website.

A straightforward context

The final changes revolved around the addition of 2 new sections. These are our team's differentiators and capabilities plus our current industry sector experience. Although fairly self-explanatory, we wished to convey to visitors what we can offer, why we are different and where we specialise. Despite some common industries in which we have operated, we remain open-minded. This is simply because we believe in the broad view, also known as the outside view. This gives us range and the ability to apply the learnings, insights and examples across industries to your specific situation.

In general, we tend to work with organisations which possess a certain level of complexity. That leans us towards manufacturing, engineering, technology, construction and software. However, we remain industry agnostic within the private sector and our typical customer size is between 50 and 5,000 employees.

A website refresh for customers

Naturally, a website refresh takes time, effort and cost. As a small business, we remain committed to investing in local businesses and individuals. For this work, we chose a local web designer in the community to assist us. We do hope that you like the results.
