We believe in recognizing the hard work and dedication of our associates around the world. Our annual Value of 168 Awards recognize companies and associates across RPM who have achieved excellence in areas such as new products, acquisitions, teamwork, sustainability and operational excellence.

As part of this program, the Building a Better World Awards acknowledge efforts in key areas of sustainability including environmental impact, product sustainability and social responsibility. Honorees of our Building a Better World Awards exemplify RPM's enduring commitment to Our Products, Our Processes and Our People - on behalf of its associates, customers and shareholders.

Our 2023 winners include the following:

Environmental Impact Award: Energy Star^® Treasure Hunt

Awarded for activities that resulted in a reduction in its environmental footprint to promote sustainability.

Nearly 100 team members across 34 RPM facilities participated in the Energy Star Treasure Hunt, a collaborative effort that brings teams together to help identify ways their facility can save energy. Across RPM's participating facilities, teams identified ways to reduce electrical energy and natural gas consumption and opportunities for alternative sourcing, which resulted in $2.2 million in annual energy savings. Local teams also identified ways to incorporate recycled materials into products and reduce waste and CO₂ emissions, resulting in an annual cost savings of $700,000.

Product Sustainability Award: Fibergrate Recycled Grit for FRP Surfaces

Awarded for the development of an eco-conscious product or enhanced the sustainability profile of an existing product.

In response to the need to reduce or eliminate exposure to respirable silicon dioxide, Fibergrate Composite Structures used recycled crushed glass in its product, creating recycled grit for FRP surfaces. Used in surface preparation, repair and finishing for composite structures, recycled grit was recognized with the award for enhancing the sustainability profile of an existing product.

Social Responsibility Award: Global Service Center in India

Awarded activities related to a positive impact on its associates and the communities in which we all live and work.

In 2023, RPM's Global Service Center (GSC) team in India completed 1,443 volunteer hours through local social responsibility projects, environmental sustainability initiatives and associate activities that promoted a safe and healthy workplace.
