"As we begin to gather for the holidays, let us remember the families who have a folded flag and an empty seat at the table, and take a moment to honor the Coloradans who paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe this season. I am grateful to be here today to visit with our Gold Star Families to provide support in reminding them that our state is with them every step of the way," said Governor Polis.
Colorado Gold Star Families are immediate family members of a fallen service member, who died while serving in a time of conflict.
