Q. How long have you worked at W&L?
I've been working at W&L about 2.5 years.

Q. What do you like most about working at W&L?
What I like most about working at W&L is that I get to work with people from all across campus and in every department. Everyone needs to eat and food has a neat way of bringing people together. I love being able to be apart of bringing people together.

Q. Where is your favorite location on the W&L campus?
I've always loved doing events on the back patio of the Lee House.

Q. Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Virginia Beach! 757!

Q. What advice do you have for students?
I think my advice is the same to both students and parents - be intentional with your time. Be intentional with your studies, with your relationships, with your time and in getting rest.

Q. What is the most adventurous thing that you have ever done?
Many years ago, my friend Kari took me bungee jumping - Blind folded!

Q. What's your favorite thing to do when you're not working?
I love taking pictures though I am definitely an amateur. I love the beach and I do a lot of knitting for my small side business.

Q. If you could live anywhere, where would you build your dream home?
Anywhere on the ocean where I could walk straight out to the beach!

Q. Who most inspires you?
My dad inspires me the most. He almost died several years ago and he has a brain injury because of the events of that day. He gets after it every day - still working and setting goals for himself. He's not trying to take the easy way out.

Q. What book are you reading now?
Aside from the Bible, I'm currently reading "The Third Gilmore Girl" by Kelly Bishop and "The Closer" by Mariano Rivera.

Q. What music are you listening to these days?
I'm most often listening to The Lumineers. I saw them live in Charlottesville a few years back and it was the best show I've seen. I have a cool tattoo based off one of their songs.

Q. What is your favorite film (movie) of all time?
Either "The Goonies" or "Princess Bride." Can you tell I love the 80s?

Q. If they made a movie about your life, who would play you?
Oh, this is a story that goes back to my days of living in Georgia. Short answer - Melissa McCarthy. Or Drew Barrymore. BUT my favorite character in a book/movie is Molly Weasley!

Q. If you could have coffee with one person, who would it be and why?
Probably Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He was a pastor at the same time Hitler was in power and he really challenged the church to not support Hitler. He worked with a group of people to assassinate Hitler, but their plan was exposed before they could carry it out. He was hung for this attempted murder just before Hitler took his own life. I want to know more about this!

Q. What is your desert island food?
Fresh baked bread!

Q. Tell us something most people don't know about you.
I turn 40 this month and I've been getting one tattoo a month during 2024 leading up to my 40th birthday. I've had my close friends help me with this - I've commissioned them to design a tattoo for me. It's been a really fun and significant project.

Q. What is your secret talent?
I know every word to Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire." I learned it for a history class my freshman year of college - over 20 years ago now. I still know every single word - I had to prove it to my nephews over Thanksgiving.
