Arkansas Workforce Connections to host 2024 Business Services Summit

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (December 11, 2024) - On December 13, 2024, Arkansas Workforce Connections will host the 2024 Business Services Summit at the Saline County Career and Technical Campus in Benton.

This dynamic, full-day event offers a unique opportunity to connect with Arkansas' workforce and business leaders, gain actionable knowledge to drive organizational success and collaborate on initiatives that will shape the state's economic future.

With the theme, Moving Forward: A Vision for 2025 and Beyond, the summit will serve as a platform for workforce professionals and employers to align goals, share insights, and explore new opportunities. Interactive workshops and engaging panels will cover crucial topics like sustainable business practices, enhancing customer experiences, effective marketing strategies, and expanding apprenticeship programs.

"This annual summit will emphasize conversations over presentations," said Cody Waits, Executive Director of Arkansas Workforce Connections, "I'm looking forward to hearing from industry experts, but I'm also eager to hear from our stakeholders, partners in workforce and economic development, and most of all, our employers."

Attendees will enjoy a keynote address over lunch that will offer inspiring and practical advice for success in the business services sector. The agenda also features a detailed walkthrough of the new Arkansas Launch website, showcasing tools and resources designed to empower employers. There will be networking opportunities, both before the summit and throughout the day with dedicated breaks and speed networking sessions.

"We designed this summit to provide a space for collaboration among business and government," said Eddie Thomas, Director of the Office of Employment and Training at Arkansas Workforce Connections, "We'll be working collectively to identify gaps, develop solutions, and address employer demands. If you're invested in Arkansas' economic future, I wouldn't miss it."

The day begins at 7:50 a.m. with registration, networking, and vendor demonstrations, followed by summit sessions starting at 9:00 a.m.
