Emergency Closure on Route 147 in Reed Twp., Dauphin County

​Road closed by flood damage

Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Route 147 is closed between Route 22/322 and Route 225 in Reed Township, Dauphin County due to flood damage. The road will remain closed until repairs can be made.

A detour is in place using Route 225 (Peters Mountain Road).

A utility project and associated daytime closure on Route 225 has been suspended while the road is used as a detour. A truck restriction has also been suspended during this time.

Repairs are expected to begin tomorrow, Saturday, August 10, and could take about a month to complete. New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., is the contractor for this work.
