Discover Asian Culture This Fall at the Wang Center

The programs offered at the Charles B. Wang Center this fall are designed to provide unique experiences that highlight the beauty of Asian cultural heritage. They will educate and entertain you, while providing a glimpse into the vibrant traditions and innovative artistry that define Asian cultures.

"I am thrilled to present our upcoming season of cultural programs. This fall, we have curated a diverse array of exhibitions, workshops, films, lectures, and performances that celebrate the richness of Asian traditions and contemporary creativity," said Jinyoung A. Jin, director of Asian art and culture at the Wang Center.

Upcoming activities this fall include the serene art of Japanese flower arranging, the intricate craft of bonsai, and enlightening lectures that explore both traditional and modern Asian art and culture. A selection of captivating films and delightful shadow puppet shows also promise to inspire.

And don't miss the extraordinary talent of Indonesian artist Mulyana, which will be showcased in the Skylight Gallery. The opening reception for "Yarnscapes: Mulyana's Environmental Tapestries" will be held on Friday, September 13, at 5 pm, and the exhibition of his stunning works of art will be on display through December 10. His imaginative creations highlight the beauty of everyday materials as they invite you to see the natural world from a new perspective. Mulyana will also give a lecture, "Yarn Reimagined: Artistic Crochet Using Excess Yarn," on Wednesday, October 23, at 2 pm in Lecture Hall 1.
