BHSU GEARS UP FOR SWARM DAYS 2024: A MARDI GRAS THEMED CELEBRATION
Black Hills State University will host their annual Swarm Days Sept. 16-21. The theme of this year's celebration is "Swarm Into the Fun, Mardi Gras Has Begun."
Swarm Days is a cherished tradition at BHSU, uniting students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the broader Spearfish community in a week-long celebration of school spirit featuring several events including the parade and homecoming football game.
All are invited to Swarm Days events throughout the week. Homecoming Coronation and the Burning of the BH takes place Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6:30 p.m. On Friday, the Alumni Awards Luncheon will be held at 11 a.m. and the Hall of Fame Banquet is at 6 p.m. For Friday's ticketed events, please RSVP by Sept. 11 to Tom Wheaton at [email protected] or (605) 642-6385.
The parade is Saturday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. followed by a tailgate social at 12:00 p.m. before the football game against Fort Lewis College at 2 p.m. This year, the parade route will start at Hillsview Road, then turn onto North Ave., and continue towards Main Street.
