Florida Memorial University Volleyball Falls to Mobile in Home Opener

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | In the home opener for Florida Memorial University's volleyball team, the Lions fell to the University of Mobile in three sets (25-10, 25-18, 25-17) at the FMU Wellness Center.

FMU produced 19 kills as a team, with junior middle blocker Julia Carneiro leading the team with six. Freshman setter Amari Nunez led the team in digs with seven in the game, while Carneiro led the way with four blocks. FMU allowed 42 kills in the contest.

The loss drops FMU to 1-4 on the season.

The Lions return to action on Sunday, September 1, when they host Webber International University and Park University in a tri-match. First serve for game one is scheduled for 10 a.m., while the first serve for game two is slated for 5 p.m. at the FMU Wellness Center.
