The Anchor Boston's open-air courtyard, located at 1 Shipyard Park, Charlestown. Take any MBTA Green Line trolley to Government Center, then take the Route 93 bus from Congress St @ Haymarket Sta to Chelsea St @ Fifth St. From there, walk a short distance through the Charlestown Navy Yard to the Anchor Boston.
Watch Wednesdays screenings are free to the public. Food and drinks are available to purchase at the Anchor Boston's bar and grill until 11 pm.
Ever since director Steven Spielberg (Hon.'09) made his iconic horror film Jaws in 1975-about a man-eating great white shark who terrorizes beachgoers-swimmers have thought twice about taking a dip in the ocean.
It doesn't help that the film takes place in a fictional idyllic Cape Cod town, nor that Massachusetts beaches have plenty of great white sightings. Put your fears aside because this spine-tingling film is truly worth a watch (or rewatch)!
Head to the Charlestown Navy Yard with some friends for an outdoor screening at the Anchor Boston's open-air courtyard, complete with cozy lounge seating and free-standing tables. Prepare to enjoy beautiful views of the downtown skyline and Boston Harbor, right as the sun sets. Though you may opt to eat before the movie, make sure you save room for a drink or two from the Anchor Boston's extensive bar menu-including craft beers and frozen cocktails-along with some snacks like nachos and ice cream.
