Investigation Update: Suspect Arrested Following a Stabbing in Roxbury

Investigation Update: At about 8:40 AM, on Sunday, August 24, 2024, an officer assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) arrested Shalia Brown, 32, of Boston. Detectives provided officers with a photo of the suspect involved in last night's stabbing. An officer immediately recognized the suspect, and observed her in the area of 1965 Columbus Avenue. The suspect was placed under arrest and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. She is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.

The facts and circumstances surrounding the prior incident are as follows: Officers assigned to District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) responded to the area of 2041 Columbus Avenue for a report of a person stabbed. Upon arrival, officers located two stabbing victims. One victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and the other victim was treated on scene.
