TRAFFIC ALERT New Castle County I 95/Route 896 Interchange Upcoming Closures

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces overnight lane and ramp closures on Route 896 and I-95 for bolting bridge beams. Toll lanes will be affected. There will also be overnight lane closures on Route 72 for bridge work.

I-95 AND RAMP IMPACTS

· Tuesday, September 17th through Thursday, September 19th: Overnight Multi-Lane Closure, Southbound I-95 from the Route 896 Interchange to the Toll Plaza:

o Tuesday, September 17th (7PM - 7AM), EZPass lanes closed

o Wednesday, September 18th (8PM - 6AM), Cash lanes closed

o Thursday, September 19th (9PM - 6AM), Cash lanes closed

· Wednesday, September 18th and Thursday, September 19th: Overnight Ramp Closure, Southbound I-95 off ramp to southbound Route 896 (11PM - 6AM). Detours Posted.

· Tuesday, September 17th through Thursday, September 19th: Overnight Multi-Lane Closure, Northbound I-95 from the Toll Plaza to the Route 896 Interchange:

o Tuesday, September 17th (6PM - 6AM)

o Wednesday, September 18th (7PM - 6AM)

o Thursday, September 19th (9PM - 5AM)

Route 896 IMPACTS

· Monday, September 16th: Overnight Lane Closure, Southbound Route 896 between Welsh Tract Road and I-95. (11PM - 5AM).

Route 72 IMPACTS

· Monday, September 16th through Thursday, September 19th: Overnight Lane Closure, Northbound and Southbound Route 72 between Scottfield Drive and Peoples Drive (7PM - 6AM).
