Weekly Road Construction Update - Week of Sept. 15 to Sept. 21

Projects Administered by Deschutes County:

Powell Butte Highway/Butler Market Road Intersection Improvement (Bend Area) - Installation of permanent pavement markings and landscaping work will be occurring at the Powell Butte Highway/Butler Market Road roundabout.

Traffic Information - Road users should expect single-lane closure facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Projects Administered by Other Agencies:

US 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation) - Excavation work will be occurring on 11th Street in Terrebonne between Smith Rock Way and U.S. 97. This project is being administered by the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Traffic Information - 11th Street will be closed to through traffic from Smith Rock Way south to U.S. 97. A designated detour route is in place via U.S. 97 and Smith Rock Way. Access for local traffic will be maintained during construction. Intermittent closures may also be occurring on Central Avenue, C Avenue and Smith Rock Way between 11th Street and U.S. 97. Road users should also expect delays on adjacent local roadways.

Other Road Impacts:

River Summit Drive/ FS 45 Closure (Sunriver Area) - River Summit Drive/Forest Service Road 45 is closed to traffic until further notice due to fire activity.

Traffic Information - River Summit Drive/Forest Service Road 45 is closed to traffic. Use alternate route.
