DuPont Tyler Middle School Student Arrested For Posting Threat On Instagram

The Rapid School Response Team, in coordination with Specialized Investigations Division detectives and School Resource officers, arrested a 12-year-old student at DuPont Tyler Middle School today after he posted that he planned to shoot up the school last night on Instagram.

He was charged with making a threat of mass violence and false reporting.

Threats against schools, special events and businesses are taken very seriously by the MNPD. Those responsible, once identified, will be prosecuted.
