Greenberg Traurig Deal Wins 2024 TMT M&A USA Digital Infrastructure Deal of the Year – LATAM Award

NEW YORK - Oct. 02, 2024 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP won the Digital Infrastructure Deal of the Year - LATAM award at the 2024 TMT M&A USA Awards event on September 26, for its advising of MXT Infrastructure Holdings in the acquisition of Centennial Towers, a Dutch entity that owns telecommunications infrastructure in Mexico, from Madison Dearborn. The TMT M&A USA Awards showcase the most significant digital infrastructure transactions of the year, recognizing the leading dealmakers, investors, and advisors within the industry.

MXT Holdings is a telecommunications infrastructure company based in Mexico, whose current investors are Mexico Infrastructure Partners (MIP), the leading asset manager of investment funds in the infrastructure and energy sectors in Latin America and ARDIAN, a world-leading private investment fund.

Greenberg Traurig acted as (i) International and Mexican counsel to MIP in the sale of a 50% co-control equity interest in MXT Holdings to ARDIAN; and (ii) International and Mexican counsel to MXT Holdings, MIP and ARDIAN in the simultaneous acquisition of Centennial Towers from Madison Dearborn.

The Greenberg Traurig team was led on the New York and Mexican law aspects by José Antonio Butrón, shareholder of the Latin America Practice and head of the Infrastructure & Project Finance Practice in Mexico, with the support of a team comprising Mexico Infrastructure & Project Finance Shareholder Gabriela Palomino and Associate Luis Torres.
