ARREST: 24RIX1-577-AR LOCATION: NORTH PROVIDENCE

On Friday, September 6, 2024, at approximately 5:15AM, members of the HIDTA Task Force and VFTF Task Force arrested Jason Jones, age 40, 179/181 Woodbine Street 3rd Floor, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance - Psilocybin Mushrooms. This arrest was the result of the execution of a court authorized search warrant executed at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation. Mr. Jones was transported to the Lincoln Barracks where he was processed and later arraigned at 6th District Court.

ARREST: 24RIX1-578-AR LOCATION: PAWTUCKET

On Friday, September 6, 2024, at approximately 5:15AM, members of the HIDTA Task Force and VFTF Task Force arrested Derrick Anaya, age 34, 179/181 Woodbine Street 3rd Floor, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1) Possession of Marijuana 1kg to 5kg 2) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance - Marijuana 3) Possession of a Controlled Substance - Cocaine. This arrest was the result of the execution of a court authorized search warrant executed at the conclusion of a narcotics investigation. Mr. Anaya was transported to the Lincoln Barracks where he was processed and later arraigned at 6th District Court.

ARREST: 24RIX1-579-AR LOCATION: CRANSTON

On Friday, September 6, 2024, at approximately 9:00 AM, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force and Uniformed members of the Lincoln Woods Barracks arrested Joseph Lancia, age 33, of 40 Fanning Lane, Smithfield, Rhode Island for a Parole Violation warrant for the original charge of Felony Assault with a Firearm . The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force. Mr. Lancia was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions Intake Services Center.

ARREST: 24RIX1-580-AR LOCATION: LINCOLN

On Friday, September 6, 2024, members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Joseph Vale, age 76, of 86 D Drive, Westport, MA, for one misdemeanor count of Simple Assault. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Gaming Enforcement Unit. Mr. Vale was charged, transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and misdemeanor released pending a future Third District Court date.
