November 20, 2024 (JUNEAU, AK) - The Division of Elections has completed the final ballot count and ranked-choice tabulations for Alaska's 2024 General Election. The tabulation process was conducted today in accordance with Alaska law, providing an accurate and transparent count of voters' preferences.
Final preliminary results for statewide races indicate the following winning candidates and ballot measure standings:
U.S. President/Vice-President: Trump/Vance (REP) 54.54%
U.S. House of Representatives: Begich, Nick (REP) 51.31%
Ballot Measure 1 - 23AMLS: YES 57.97%
Ballot Measure 2 - 22AKHE: NO 50.10%

"I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the candidates who stepped forward to serve and to the election officials and workers who dedicated their time to ensuring a smooth and secure election process," said Lieutenant Governor Nancy Dahlstrom. "This milestone demonstrates our commitment to upholding democracy and respecting the will of the voters."

As we approach the November 30 goal for certification, the Division of Elections will focus on verifying the integrity of the results, including conducting audits and finalizing all documentation.

Election Certification: Once the State Review Board completes its thorough review to ensure all results are complete and accurate, the election will be certified, and the results will be official. The target date for certification is November 30.
Recount Eligibility: Under Alaska Statute 15.20.430, a candidate or group may request a recount within five days of certification. The state will bear the cost of the recount if the difference between the number of votes cast was 20 or less or was less than 0.5% of the total votes cast.
