their Selective Retention Bonus (SRB), references (a) and (b),
prior to the ending of the FY24 SRB Program on 30 September 2024.
2. Background. By policy, reference (d), each year the current FY
SRB Program (SRBP) must be canceled prior to the next FY SRBP. This

immediately thereafter upon the release of the FY25 SRBP MARADMIN on
or about 1 October 2024.
3. Action. Commanding Officers will ensure their FY24 reenlistment
eligible Marines fully understand SRBs can only be awarded for
Reenlistment Extension Lateral Move (RELM) submissions that are
approved in the Total Force Retention System by 30 September 2024.
FY24 Marines in primary military occupational specialties that rate
an SRB and still have available boat spaces per references (a)
through (c), are highly encouraged to submit a request for
reenlistment or lateral move prior to the conclusion of the FY24
SRBP to receive an SRB. All other provisions of the references
remain in effect.

5. Marines with an expiration of current contract during FY24 will
no longer be eligible for an SRB if approved after 30 September
2024.
