Los Coyotes Drive Street Improvement Project

The City of Buena Park is continuing to work on the Los Coyotes Drive Street Improvement Project. This project is a maintenance treatment that prolongs the life of the street by providing a new wearing surface for the road, protecting it from sun and water damage.

The contractor will be installing the ARAM (Asphalt Rubber Aggregate Membrane) on Thursday, October 17 (weather permitting). The street will be open to normal traffic within a few minutes after the street sweeping is complete.

On the week of October 22, the contractor will be installing a slurry seal over the ARAM product. The slurry seal will be the final paving portion of this project. Please note that, unlike ARAM, a slurry seal takes 4 to 6 hours before it can be opened to traffic. Due to this, the slurry seal work will be performed over two days. Please refer to the map below. The direction shown in purple is for work on October 22, and the portion shown in red is for work on October 23.

Dates are subject to change, and any changes to the schedule will be reflected on this website page until the end of construction.

  • NO PARKING TOW-AWAY signs with the exact dates of work for your street and hours of restricted parking will be posted at least 48 hours in advance of the crews starting work on your street. Vehicles not removed from the street before work begins will be towed at owner's expense.
  • Barricades will be provided from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during one day within that period to eliminate unnecessary traffic, BUT PLEASE NOTE: PARKING IN YOUR DRIVEWAY DURING THESE OPERATIONS WILL BE ALLOWED. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO LEAVE OR RETURN TO YOUR DRIVEWAY DURING THIS PHASE OF THE PAVEMENT RESURFACING.
  • Your street will be accessible to emergency vehicles at all times. Do not hesitate to call 911 if you require emergency assistance.
  • There will be no change to the trash collection day.
