Young Cows Win at the International Junior Red & White Show

MADISON, WIS. - In the International Junior Red & White Show, there was one young cow that kept catching the judges' eyes. Cherry-Lor Robin-P-Red, the winning Yearling in Milk, claimed Intermediate and Grand Champion honors on Thursday, October 3. Robin is owned by Phillip McCormick of Millmont, Pa., and is the recipient of the Lillian and Keith King and Jim King Grand Champion of the Junior Show Award and the $650 Udder Comfort Grand Champion Award. Standing next to her as Reserve Intermediate and Reserve Grand Champion is the winning junior of the Senior Three-Year-Old class, Glaustar Roll A Dice-Red, owned by Delaney, Kalli and Cooper Barber of Dewitt, Iowa.

The Senior Champion was Nisly-Gen Rager Donut-Red, owned by Madison and Tyler J. Soden of Susquehanna, Pa. Following her was Milksource Awesome Time-Red, owned by Tristen Ostrom of Kaukauna, Wis. Donut and Time were the first and second juniors in the Four-Year-Old class, respectively.

Red-Violet The North-Red-ET, the winning Winter Heifer Calf, was named Junior Champion of the International Junior Red & White Show. North is owned by Hailey Abraham and Ella Spiniolas of Harvard, Ill. Reserve Junior Champion honors went to the winning Summer Yearling Heifer, Ocean-View Sweeter In-Red, owned by Kailey Guilette of Algoma, Wis.

Official judge, Kevin Doeberiener, of West Salem, Ohio, and associate judge, Adam Hodgins, of Kincardine, Ontario, Canada, evaluated the 129 junior entries.
