Domestic in the town of Chesterfield leads to arrest

On October 3, 2024, State Police members arrested Melissa Andrews, age 61, of Keeseville, NY, for assault 2nd and criminal possession of a weapon 4th.

On October 3, 2024, at approximately 8:52 p.m., Troopers responded to Dicks Place in the town of Chesterfield for a domestic dispute. An investigation determined Andrews and the victim were involved in a verbal argument, which turned physical when Andrews became irate, grabbed a knife, and cut the victim on the head. The victim was treated at CVPH and later released.

Andrews was arrested and transported to SP Plattsburgh for processing. She was held at Essex County Jail awaiting arraignment.
