DCCC Releases Second TV Ad in ME-02: “Retirement”

The DCCC released a new TV ad in the race for Maine's 2nd Congressional District, "Retirement," highlighting how Austin Theriault will join extremists in Congress who are working to cut Social Security and Medicare.

Theriault is backed by Republican Party bosses, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, who is a leading architect of the GOP's effort to slash critical programs like Social Security and Medicare.

The ad - the second to run in District from the DCCC IE - is airing in Bangor, Portland, and Presque Isle beginning today and is part of the committee's previously announced investments in key battleground districts.

"I've been on the water since I was two days old. Fished up and down the coast from Nantucket to Eastport.

I've been paying into Medicare, Social Security my whole life every paycheck. Those benefits should be there when we retire.

But Austin Theriault wants to join extremists in Congress trying to cut Social Security and Medicare.

I earned those benefits. Austin Theriault should not be able to take those away.
