Gosar Statement on Congressional Investigation Findings into Biden-Harris Disastrous Afghanistan Withdrawal
Washington, D.C. -- Congressman Paul A. Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-09), issued the following statement after the House Foreign Affairs Committee released areportdetailing the findings from a three-year long investigation into the deadly withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021:
"The report detailing the disastrous Afghanistan troop withdrawal confirms what I've said for three years: the incompetent Biden-Harris administration left over $80 billion of the best military equipment to our sworn enemies. Worse, Mr. Biden and Kamala Harris knowingly exposed our ground troops to hostile attacks, tragically killing 13 American soldiers.
This was completely preventable. Despite warnings and consistent threats against our military, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris disregarded the advice of our military leaders and had no plans to protect our troops from the ISIS terrorists who planned the attack at the Abbey Gate checkpoint.
It is unconscionable that Mr. Biden and Kamala Harris continue to lie to the American people and the families of the fallen servicemembers. This is an affront to those who served our nation, and to those we lost," stated Congressman Gosar.
