VanSkiver Receives International Association of Administrative Professionals 2024 Achievement Award

Donnell VanSkiver, CAP, MEP, OM, executive administrative assistant to the president at Frostburg State University, continues to bring home accolades. She was most recently the recipient of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) 2024 Achievement Award, which applauds and acknowledges excellence in the profession. Last year, VanSkiver received the Leadership Award at the 2023 Washington, D.C., Admin Awards.

"Anyone who knows me well will not be surprised by my being honored with an Achievement Award; I've been labeled an overachiever my entire life," said VanSkiver. "To be honored and recognized by a highly regarded, international organization of my peers is exhilarating and motivates me to do even more for the profession. I am grateful to IAAP for this distinction and this platform for administrative professionals to be recognized and celebrated."

VanSkiver, who is a member and outgoing director of the Greater Hagerstown branch of IAAP, was one of 11 nominees up for this award. She was recognized for her achievements at an all-expenses-paid gala in New York City and will be featured in OfficePro Magazine.

VanSkiver is an accomplished administrative professional, respected industry leader and passionate advocate for the administrative profession. In her role at FSU, she developed and launched the innovative ADAPT (Administrative Development and Professional Training) program, which empowers the University's community of administrative professionals with essential skills and leadership foundations.
