President Santa Thanks Congress members for Passing FAA Reauthorization Bill

NATCA President Rich Santa recently met with Rep. Rick Larsen (D-Wa.), the Ranking Member of the House Transportation & Infrastructure (T&I) Committee, as well as ten other House members who are key NATCA allies and serve on the T&I Committee, to thank them for passing the bipartisan FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024. Santa spoke about the importance of maximum hiring of new controller trainees, addressing training and hiring backlogs, and using accurate staffing targets for each facility. The members thanked Santa and all of NATCA's members for their dedication to aviation safety and agreed to keep working with NATCA to ensure timely implementation of the new reauthorization law.
