TEDESCO STATEMENT ON NJ TRANSIT SOLUTION FOR BERGEN COACH USA CUSTOMERS

HACKENSACK, NJ - Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco today issued the following statement thanking NJ Transit for ensuring continuity of service on the impacted bus routes following Coach USA's recent decision to terminate operation of NJ Transit routes in Bergen County prematurely:

"I want to extend my sincere gratitude to NJ Transit for stepping up and taking swift action to ensure that Bergen County residents continue to have access to reliable public transportation. The resolution that NJ Transit has provided ensures that there will be no disruption in service for the many commuters, students, and workers who rely on these bus routes daily.

When faced with the sudden termination of these routes by Coach USA, NJ Transit acted with urgency and responsibility to safeguard our community's needs. Their commitment to maintaining service continuity underscores the critical role that public transit plays in the lives of our residents and in the overall economic health of Bergen County.

On behalf of the people of Bergen County, I thank NJ Transit for their proactive response and their dedication to ensuring a continuity of service."
