Minister Igli Hasani’s Bilateral Meetings at the Bled Strategic Forum

On the first day of the Bled Strategic Forum, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, held bilateral meetings with Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo; Sirpa Rautio, Director of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights; and Stephen Doughty, Minister of State for Europe, North America, and the Overseas Territories, Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office of the United Kingdom.

In the meeting with Minister Gërvalla, the two counterparts praised the excellent and brotherly cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing that the Albania-Kosovo cooperation is considered strategic, stabilizing for the region, and a guide for the Euro-Atlantic perspective.

Minister Hasani stated that there is a need for the concretization of the comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Kosovo, making it a model and encouragement for regional cooperation among Albanians and beyond.

During the meeting with the Director of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, Minister Hasani expressed that Albania is making every effort to take the necessary steps to create a Data Collection Methodology for an accurate assessment of the implementation level of policies and strategies related to human rights legislation.

Minister Hasani concluded the first day of the forum by holding a meeting with Stephen Doughty, Minister of State for Europe, North America, and the Overseas Territories, Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office of the United Kingdom.

Minister Hasani and Minister Doughty praised the strong bilateral relations between Albania and the United Kingdom, agreeing on the need to strengthen efforts to further intensify them.

Minister Hasani stated that the Albanian government welcomes British investments and support in strategic sectors such as defense, security, cybersecurity, energy, infrastructure etc.
