Minister Igli Hasani emphasizes Albania’s progress and commitment to integration at the Bled Strategic Forum
Bled, Slovenia, September 3, 2024 -
Invited to the Bled Strategic Forum, Albania's Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Igli Hasani, participated in a panel discussion "Europe Whole and Free: A Renewed Commitment to European Security"
During the panel, Minister Hasani highlighted the significant progress Albania has made on its path towards European integration, stating, "It is important to understand that Albania has not just made progress; Albania has made substantial progress that is concrete, measurable, and real, and it is recognized as such."
Minister Hasani also underscored Albania's unwavering commitment to continue implementing the necessary reforms for European Union membership.
According to him, EU integration is the only viable path for Western Balkans, ensuring transformation and maintaining a united Europe.
"Both the European Union and the Western Balkans must commit to timely reforms and innovative integration strategies. We have the frameworks and tools; now, we need swift political decisions." Minister Igli Hasani emphasised.
Minister Hasani also commended his Slovenian counterpart, Tanja Fajon, for organizing this important forum addressing current security challenges and fostering regional cooperation.
