The International Aircraft Dealers Association (IADA) Foundation has elected Mary Comazzi to serve on its board of directors. Mary will chair the philanthropy committee and work to further the Foundation's involvement in philanthropic efforts to support disaster relief, actuation-supported initiatives and aviation-related causes, including NBAA Hero, Angel Flight, and Corporate Angel Network.
The Foundation's mission is to inspire the next generation of business aviation professionals through scholarships and education, creating gateways for young people to flourish in the industry as well as to provide philanthropic support to aviation-related charitable organizations. The IADA Foundation is passionate and committed to ensuring the future of business aviation and serving people in times of need.
Comazzi is co-chair of Barnes & Thornburg's Aviation practice group and has deep experience structuring aviation transactions, including domestic and foreign-based aircraft purchases and sales, aircraft leasing agreements, and joint and fractional ownership agreements. She also advises on timeshare and interchange agreements, personal and executive use policies, Federal Aviation Administration registrations, Cape Town Convention and International Registry matters, hangar rental and ownership arrangements, airport lease agreements, management and charter matters, and customs compliance.
