Senator Collins Welcomes Newport Native as Summer Intern in Bangor Office

Bangor, ME - U.S. Senator Susan Collins announced that Elizabeth Speed, a Newport native, has been awarded a summer internship in her Bangor office. Elizabeth is a graduate of Bangor High School.

"Elizabeth is a wonderful student and diligent worker, and I am confident she will serve the people of Maine well," said Senator Collins. "I so enjoy providing Maine students the unique opportunity to serve the public, and I am glad to welcome Elizabeth to my Bangor office."

Elizabeth is a rising sophomore at the University of Maine, where she is majoring in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies. On campus, she is a member of the Prelaw Society. Upon graduation, Elizabeth plans to attend law school.
