IFF Named 2024 Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion

July 17, 2024

IFF is proud to be named a 2024 Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion by the Disability Equality Index®. The Company earned top scores in both the United States and Brazil, where for the first time the tool was available in that market. In the U.S., IFF earned a score of 100, and in Brazil, we scored 80.

"We continue to advance inclusivity and accessibility across our organization," says AccessAbilities@IFF Executive Sponsor and President of H&B Simon Herriott. "By benchmarking ourselves against the Index, we understand our trajectory against our peers and the opportunities for us to do better. Additionally, we leverage the recommendations to enhance our programs and initiatives to meet the needs of our employees with disabilities and their families."

The Disability Equality Index is the world's most comprehensive benchmarking tool for Fortune 1000 scope companies to measure disability workplace inclusion inside their organization and to assess performance across industry sectors. In 2024, 542 corporations, including 71 Fortune 100 and 220 Fortune 500, utilized the assessment to benchmark their disability inclusion efforts. In 2024 Disability Equality Index measured: Culture & Leadership; Enterprise-Wide Access; Employment Practices (Benefits; Recruitment; Employment, Education, Retention & Advancement; Accommodations); Community Engagement; Supplier Diversity; and Responsible Procurement (Non-Weighted).

Disability is a natural part of the human experience, and intersects across age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status and other demographics. Globally, people with disabilities represent 1.3 billion individuals.

"With the majority of our workforce outside the United States, we are thrilled to see this tool be expanded to other countries. We are proud that our Brazil locations join the US as a top scoring company and are excited to continue our progress around the world."

IFF's colleague community (also known as employee resource groups), AccessAbilities, plays an integral role supporting and advocating for the professional and personal requirements of employees with disabilities.
