Town of Riga - Gilman Road Sidewalk Extension

Negative Declaration

Monroe County - The Town of Riga Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Gilman Road Sidewalk Extension will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposed sidewalk which would be approximately 2,900 linear foot and would be installed along the southerly side of Gilman Road between the existing sidewalk stub westerly of the Spotts Circle intersection, and North Main Street (County Route 268) to the west. Curb cuts, ramps, and striping shall be added as necessary to ensure pedestrian safety. Two existing culverts would be improved and widened in order to accommodate the new sidewalk. The proposed sidewalk would connect several walkable residential neighborhoods from the east to the sidewalk system of North Main Street to the west. The project is located on Gilman Road between North Main Street (County Route 268) and Spotts Circle in the Town of Riga, New York.
