SACRAMENTO, Calif. - On Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, the Bureau of Reclamation will waive day use fees at all Reclamation direct managed areas at Lake Berryessa, New Melones Lake, and Stony Gorge Reservoir for all visitors in honor of U.S. military members who have bravely served our country. Other fees, such as overnight camping, boat launching, and fees associated with concession managed areas, will still apply.
Current U.S. military and dependents, Gold Star Families, and U.S. military veterans are eligible to receive free annual or lifetime passes which cover entrance and day use fees at national parks, national wildlife refuges, national forests, and other federally managed recreational lands including New Melones Lake, Lake Berryessa, and Stony Gorge Reservoir. The New Melones Lake Visitor Center and Museum at 6850 Studhorse Flat Road, Sonora, is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to visit the museum and to purchase park passes. The administration office is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for pass sales. The Lake Berryessa Dufer Point Visitor Center at 5520 Knoxville Road, Napa, is open Saturdays, Sundays, and most holidays from noon to 3 p.m. Maps, information, and America the Beautiful and Lake Berryessa annual passes are available during operating hours.
