City of Denton, Stoke to Host Shark Tank-Style Pitch Competition

The City of Denton and Stoke Coworking are excited to announce the opening of applications for the third annual Denton Pitch Competition-a Shark Tank-style event that gives Denton-based entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their businesses to a panel of local "sharks" and compete for cash prizes of $5,000, $3,000, and $2,000. This competition is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure within Denton's vibrant entrepreneurship and business communities.

Once applications are submitted, fifteen applicants will be selected to receive free pitch coaching. Of those, ten will advance to pitch their business ideas to a panel of judges on Nov. 21.

Eligibility:

• Applicants must be Denton-based businesses or entrepreneurs.
• Businesses must be for-profit and approved to operate within the City of Denton.

Winners must use the prize money to fund a specific business-related goal or expense and will be required to submit progress updates three and six months post-competition.
