Creative professionals were moving their bodies and their mindsets while mixing with other creative professionals at the second MXR:SEA workshop on July 25. Held at the Central District's Midtown Square, this event is part of our series that brings professionals from Seattle's creative economy together for networking, learning, and resources to address the specific needs of creatives .

City Council President Sara Nelson was there to welcome everyone to the event. Leading the breakout sessions of "Move your Body, Mindset, Business, and Future" were Alvedo, Jazmyn Scott of Arte Noir, Aaron Reader of STG Education and Community Engagement, Ebony Arunga of LANGSTON, Takyah Ward, Re-Sole Owner and Vivid Matter Collective founder, Moses Sun, LiVt, and Ty Griffin from The William Grose Center. The event also featured an incredible performance from LiVt and music from DJs Tichi and St. Saudad.

The July mixer focused on emphasizing the power of creativity, mindset, and movement to transform economic outlook and future business success. Three workshops centered around the core themes of engage, connect, and create, to help small business owners lean in on developing their soft skills while simultaneously tackling business fundamentals that can impact their future.

We had three talented local photographers capturing the creative energy and workshop magic! Check out the event photo galleries from Sehil Bhathal and Hallie Kathryn. A big thank you to Robby Trammell for making everyone look fantastic and providing professional LinkedIn headshots.

Want to get into the mix? The next MXR:SEA event is Thursday, August 22 at Occidental Mall in Pioneer Square. This workshop will focus on the Business of Music in Seattle and Beyond. You can expect keynote speakers from various creative backgrounds, small business partners, live entertainment, and more! The fun starts at 5 p.m.

Register for the August MXR:SEA event.
