Olena Kovalska emphasized that Crimean Tatar studies should be part of this project, as Crimea is an integral part of Ukraine.

"We want the leaders of Ukrainian students around the world to have the support of the Ukrainian state. That's why we are creating this coalition to coordinate and closely collaborate with the state. This is our shared vision of such support," she said.

Olha Budnyk noted that the Global Coalition is being established with the support of First Lady Olena Zelenska and at the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Presidential Foundation for Support of Education, Science and Sports, the Ukrainian Institute, and the Office of the Crimea Platform.

"When we created this coalition, we united all efforts here in Ukraine to make Ukrainian studies as popular as possible worldwide. It's important to understand that within this coalition, we also aim to deliver key messages that need to be spread globally," noted the Presidential Adviser.

Tamila Tasheva highlighted that during one of the panels at the summit of the International Crimea Platform, Olena Zelenska called on member states of the Crimea Platform to join this initiative.

"We are currently working on creating a project office to, among other things, engage with Crimea Platform participants, who we hope will support the coalition in various formats," said Tamila Tasheva.

The Global Coalition aims to promote knowledge about Ukraine, including the Crimean Tatars and other indigenous peoples of the country, and coordinate relevant initiatives within state policy.

Three levels of participation are envisaged in this project. At the basic level, foreign universities will be able to open and expand courses on Ukrainian language and culture, and organize public events on Ukrainian studies. The intermediate level involves joint exhibitions and presentations with Ukrainian higher education institutions and collaboration with specialists in Ukrainian studies. At the high level, there is the possibility of establishing a dedicated department or center for Ukrainian studies, conducting study visits to Ukraine, organizing conferences, round tables, project competitions, or summer schools.
