On the morning of July 10, the province's first deep-sea semi-submersible intelligent aquaculture platform built by Xiangshan was delivered at Ningbo Huanhai Heavy Industry Wharf.

The platform is developed by the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences, 82 meters long, 32 meters wide, 22 meters high, 13 meters to 15 meters deep, 36,000 cubic meters of effective water for breeding, can accommodate more than 6 standardized basketball courts, with a total cost of 73 million yuan, and is expected to produce 900,000 high-quality seafood (imitation wild domesticated Daiqu giant yellow croaker, etc.), with an output of 400 tons and an output value of 40 million yuan.

"The platform will be put into the southeast sea area of Xiangshan County, which has the characteristics of good stability, strong wind and wave resistance, and high degree of intelligence." Wei Shunbing, head of the breeding platform design company, said.

According to reports, due to the strong movement of ocean currents in the sea area of Xiangshan County and the frequent occurrence of typhoons, the platform adopts a box-type structure with a lifting function of more than 10 meters, which can ensure the safety of the platform in the towing state and operation state, and can withstand 16 to 17 typhoons.

The platform is equipped with an intelligent aquaculture information system, which can realize land-based remote management, and only 4 regular management personnel at sea are needed. After it is put into production, it can realize automatic feeding of feed and underwater robot cleaning of nets through seawater big data analysis. In terms of energy management, the platform realizes self-sufficiency in offshore clean energy through the combination of photovoltaic and energy storage, which can ensure the production and living electricity of workers.

Next, Xiangshan County will use the platform to carry out aquaculture trials and production in the waters outside Xiangshan to improve the new quality productivity of fisheries. "Such a large-scale deep-water aquaculture water body can simulate the growth environment of wild large yellow croaker, so that the product is as close to wild quality as possible." Xuan Lixin, the person in charge of the platform investment entity, said.

The development of deep-sea aquaculture is of far-reaching significance to the construction of sea ranches and "blue granaries". At present, the national deep-sea aquaculture platforms are mainly distributed in Shandong, Fujian, Guangdong and other places.

"In the next step, we will build 2-3 platforms of the same type according to the characteristics of rich marine resources in Xiangshan County, firmly move from the inner bay to the deep sea, and create a new quality productivity for the development of marine fisheries." Cai Zhizhou, deputy director of the Marine Industry Promotion Bureau of the Management Committee of Ningbo Marine Economic Development Demonstration Zone, said.
