PAVING PROJECTS: Lakeway Dr, Lakeway Blvd & Lohmans Crossing Rd

Lakeway Public Works crews are working with a contractor to repave Lakeway Drive, Lakeway Blvd. and Lohmans Crossing Rd. as part of the voter-approved 2022 Lakeway Transportation Bond. The projects will take place from July 8 through mid to late-August. Here is a schedule of the project and what to expect:

Lakeway Drive

July 8 - July 11, 2024 (estimate)

This project will begin on Monday, July 8 and last through roughly Thursday, July 11, 2024. The paving work will take place from Star Street (near the Lakeway Resort & Spa) to Lakeway Boulevard. There will be single lane closures with detours during the project. Where detours are not possible, there will be flaggers in place to help direct traffic.

Lakeway Boulevard

July 10- August 2, 2024 (estimate)

This project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 10 and last through roughly Friday, Aug. 2, 2024. The paving work will take place from Flamingo Blvd to RM 620. There will be single lane closures during the project with staff on hand to help direct traffic as necessary.

Lohmans Crossing Road

July 31-August 13, 2024 (estimate)

This project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, July 31 and last through roughly Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024. The paving work will take place from Hurst Creek Road to RM 620. Expect single lane closures and some detours. Flaggers will also be on hand to help direct traffic where necessary.

When these projects are wrapped up, crews will also be doing some paving work on some side streets, and are expected to wrap those up before the end of August. Timelines could also be pushed due to weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances.
