Elizabethtown female arrested for aggravated DWI

On October 7, 2024, State Police members arrested Sharyn M. Hutchins, age 67, of Elizabethtown, NY, for Driving while intoxicated; previous conviction within 10 years and aggravated driving while intoxicated.

On October 7, 2024, at approximately 10:25 a.m., Troopers responded to State Route 73 in the town of Keene for a reckless driver. The Trooper located a brown 2012 Toyota Rav 4 parked in the middle of Schaefer Road and watched a female exit the vehicle. The Trooper interviewed the driver who identified as Hutchins. While interviewing Hutchins she was showing signs of impairment. The Trooper administered SFSTs, which she failed.

Hutchins was arrested and transported to SP Ray Brook where she provided a breath sample of .22% BAC. She was arraigned in the Town of Keene Court, where he was released on her own recognizance.
