IAM Local 778 H.E.L.P.S. Clean Up Kansas City Park

Fifteen IAM Local 778 members recently joined together to clean up a significant portion of a Raytown, Mo., park. IAM members mowed and trimmed along the creek running through the park, managed overgrowth around fencing, removed small trees, and collected trash throughout the park.

The effort is part of Local 778's ongoing commitment to supporting the community where they live. Local 778 represents over 3,000 working families in the Kansas City area.

"The work done by IAM Local 778 made a huge impact within their entire community," said IAM Midwest Territory General Vice President Sam Cicinelli. "The park looks fantastic. I appreciate all the hard work Local Lodge 778 members, family and friends put in to make this such a great success. Everyone's dedication and participation will certainly benefit the community they live and work in."

"It's always nice to be able to help in the community. This park is regularly used and has nice equipment, so it's an honor to help keep it looking great," said IAM Local 778 Directing Business Representative Scott Brown. "We've had a lot of new participation from our membership this year, and it was wonderful to see everyone come together."
