Data Report: How the City responded to homelessness June 24-30

The City of Sacramento has released its weekly progress report for the City's Incident Management Team responding to homelessness.

From June 24-30, the City of Sacramento received 861 calls to 311 customer service related to unsheltered individuals.

Through the work of the IMT, 749 calls were closed, meaning that either the issue was remedied, compliance was achieved, or the issue no longer existed when City staff inspected the site.

In terms of outreach, staff from the City's Department of Community Response enrolled 128 people into shared local databases that match them with shelters and other resources.

In addition, 15 people were placed into the City's Roseville Road campus or the Outreach and Engagement Center.

As of July 2, there were three Pallet homes and nine trailers available at the Roseville Road campus as well as 19 spaces available at the Outreach and Engagement Center. There was an average of eight openings at City funded shelters (excluding the Roseville Road campus and the OEC.)

Regarding waste removal, the City cleaned up 114,710 pounds of trash.

Members of the IMT, including the Sacramento Police Department's IMPACT team, achieved compliance 71 times for calls involving sidewalk obstruction, unlawful storage, unlawful camping and other issues.

In addition, City maintains a data dashboard for the work of the IMT. The public can track progress made by the IMT by week going back to Sept. 25 and access cumulative tallies for outreach, compliance and cleanup.
