New Chick fil A opens October 17

Chick-fil-A will open its new restaurant in Taylor on Thursday, Oct. 17. Located at 22250 Eureka Road, Chick-fil-A Taylor will be open for dine-in and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the drive-thru open until 9 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays.

The new Chick-fil-A is on the old site of Little Daddy's Restaurant, on the outskirts of the Southland Center property.

Owner-Operator Anthony Sautter will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, serving guests, cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses, and tailoring philanthropic efforts to meet the community's needs.

  • To celebrate the opening of the new restaurant, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief in the area. The funds will be distributed to Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan and Forgotten Harvest, two partners of Feeding America dedicated to addressing food insecurity.
  • The restaurant will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program to donate surplus food to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.
  • His restaurant is also honoring 100 local heroes with free Chick-fil-A entrĂ©es for a year.
  • The facility will employ approximately 100 full-and part-time team members.

A Downriver native, Sautter feels especially honored to be opening Chick-fil-A Taylor in a community that is close to his heart. Sautter grew up as a loyal fan to the restaurant company, even crossing state lines just to enjoy Chick-fil-A's delicious food before the brand came to the Mitten State.

With a degree in environmental science from the University of Michigan - Dearborn, Sautter brings a wide breadth of knowledge across industries. Though he enjoyed his career in environmental science, he was seeking connection with others and began searching for a fulfilling avenue that allowed him to make an impact on others' lives.

In 2018, when he learned that Chick-fil-A was expanding into Michigan, he jumped at the opportunity to work with a company that he both admired and felt excited about. Over the next couple of years, he drove to Toledo, Ohio to learn more about the business before working his way up to serve as the restaurant's general manager, with the eventual goal of becoming a local owner-operator. Today, he is making that dream a reality alongside his wife and two children.

"The Downriver community has always been home to me and my family, and it feels surreal to be afforded this opportunity to own and operate the first Chick-fil-A in Taylor," he said. "Over the years, I've spent a lot of time getting to know other local owner-operators around the country and I can honestly say that they are now some of my best friends and greatest mentors. The connections that I have made through Chick-fil-A over the years inspire me to ensure that the guests feel that same sense of connection and community in our restaurant."
