Community Invited To Free Farmers' Market In James Gay III Park Sept. 14

Event Will Feature Local Vendors At The Historic Westside Urban Farm

The city of Las Vegas will host a farmers' market at the Historic Westside Urban Farm Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be music, games and activities for children. The event will take place in James Gay III Park, located at 1398 B St.

The city will partner with community vendors and local growers to offer fresh food for purchase.

The entire community is invited to come out to the farmers' market and enjoy fresh produce as well as goods offered by community vendors. The reimagining of James Gay III Park and the urban farm are a part of the continued work of the HUNDRED Plan in Action.

"I want to invite everyone out to the Historic Westside Farm to enjoy fresh produce and fun," Ward 5 Councilman Cedric Crear said. "The farm and the farmers' market are another example of the HUNDRED Plan in Action working for the community."
