Feeling bad? You are not alone, help and information is available

Young people may face many different challenges in their lives. Sometimes you can have difficulties at home. You might be dealing with bullies at school or struggling with your studies. You may feel lonely or even have to cope with violence or harassment. Troubling thoughts can take hold, affecting your well-being.

"We want to encourage young people to openly talk about the challenges they face. The City of Helsinki offers a wide range of services to address various issues young people may encounter," says Leena Turpeinen, Director of Health and Substance Abuse Services.

"You don't have to face your challenges alone - we're here to provide support and information," Turpeinen adds.

You can easily access comprehensive information about available services at hel.fi/youngmentalhealth . The site includes practical advice for promoting your own well-being independently if that approach feels right for you. There is also information about reliable chat services where you can connect with other young people and supportive adults.
