‘Built in the Past’ Conference Will Be Held Nov. 1

The City of Santa Fe's Planning and Land Use Department will hold its second conference on November 1st at the Museum of International Folk Art from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The event will focus on the Historic District Ordinance and Archaeological Districts Ordinance, and foster community engagement by showcasing the benefits of archaeological investigation and historic preservation within Santa Fe.

The event will include a facilitated discussion about the future of these ordinances in relation to the Land Development Code Update.

The Honorable Sara C. Bronin, Chair of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP), will be the keynote speaker.

Additional speakers will be announced. They will cover the history and purpose of the archaeological and historic preservation ordinances and discuss the community benefits from archaeological insights.
