Kennebunk River Public Advisory

Based upon test results, the Town of Kennebunkport has confirmed their Wastewater Treatment Plant effluent is not meeting their current quality limits. After consultation with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) by the Town of Kennebunkport, they advise that the public avoid swimming and water contact activities within the Kennebunk River. Testing will continue daily and the Town of Kennebunkport will remain in consultation with the DEP. The public will be advised when the effluent meets quality limits again.
