Minister Shahin and the German ambassador discuss the outcomes of the meeting between Dr. Mostafa and the German Foreign Minister

26/6/2024 - Minister Varsin Aghabekian Shahin met with German Ambassador Oliver Owcza to discuss the outcomes of a recent meeting between Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa and German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. They talked about Germany's role in addressing the genocide against Palestinians, supporting Palestinian government programs, and developing bilateral relations through the Palestinian-German joint committee. Minister Shahin emphasized the need for international accountability for Israel, recognition of Palestine as a full UN member, and immediate ceasefire and humanitarian aid for Gaza. She criticized the Israeli government for its lack of peace plans and retaliatory actions against Palestinians. Shaheen thanked Germany for its humanitarian aid and hoped for continued support from the European Union.

Ambassador Owcza reaffirmed Germany's commitment to peace in the Middle East and the two-state solution.
