On 29 June 2024, Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski delivered a lecture titled "Reflections on the Present Danger" at the 60th Ditchley Annual Lecture in the UK

The Ditchley Annual Lecture is a prestigious annual gathering of British journalists, politicians, analysts, experts, entrepreneurs and members of the diplomatic corps, where a special guest delivers a speech on a topic related to the current international situation. The event is held at a Renaissance mansion formerly used by the UK's Prime Minister Winston Churchill during the Second World War.
Guest speakers in the past included French President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, NATO Secretary General Javier Solana, UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, US Secretary of State John Kerry, and current CIA Director William Burns.
In his lecture, Minister Radosław Sikorski outlined the challenges facing Western countries; the dangers posed by an emerging alliance of authoritarian states involving Russia, and the conditions under which a coalition of democratic states could take the lead.
Minister Sikorski repeatedly remarked that Russia is not invincible; it has suffered defeats before, which were followed by transformations.
