Deputy Permanent Secretary discusses ways to promote sustainable fisheries

On 22 August 2024, Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, exchanged views with Mr. Dominic Chakrabongse Thomson, Regional Director (Southeast Asia) of Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF), on promoting sustainable fisheries.

On this occasion, both sides discussed the importance of sustainability and transparency in international trade and investment, in particular in fisheries sector. The Deputy Permanent Secretary reiterated the Thai Government's commitment to working closely with all stakeholders, including the civil society, in promoting labour protection in fisheries sector, combatting IUU fishing and fostering the sustainability of fisheries.
