Nassau University Medical Center Earns National Recognition for Excellence in Cardiovascular Care

American Heart Association Honors NUMC with "Get With The Guidelines" and "Mission: Lifeline" Awards for Exemplary Life-Saving Care

(EAST MEADOW, NY) - Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) has received two prestigious awards from the American Heart Association, underscoring its unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality health care for patients regardless of their ability to pay.

The hospital has been honored with both the "Get With The Guidelines® " and the "Mission: Lifeline®" achievement awards, reflecting how Long Island's largest safety-net hospital continues to adhere to the latest evidence-based treatment guidelines for heart disease and stroke. These efforts have led to improved patient outcomes, including more lives saved, shorter recovery times, and reduced hospital readmissions.
